take the stress out of travel

Let us look after the logistics, we are your feet on the ground.

You will be picked up when you arrive by air or sea, spend the night in our Treehouse or our friends Barn both with breakfast, then delivered in comfort to either trailhead.

June to September on our way to/from Bamfield, time permitting, we will stop by the Harbour Quay on the canal with the chance of seeing the bears feasting on the salmon that are on their way to spawn or seals demonstrating their mid-air fishing techniques.

Nanaimo airport pickup

Nanaimo Airport YCD, is renowned for connecting the central Island to the rest of the world. It is considered the “Gateway to Vancouver Island” and offers many hassle free and affordable ways to access Vancouver Island.

Nanaimo seaplane pickup

A quick and exciting way to get here sooner. The beauty from the plane is only matched by the scenery from the ferry. Downtown to downtown.

Nanaimo-Bamfield

Three hour drive to arrive in Bamfield for morning orientation. One hour paved roads through beautiful old growth Cathedral Grove to Port Alberni the salmon capital of the world aka the Gateway to the West Coast of Canada.  Two hours of pot-holed gravel, dusty roads to arrive at your destination.

Bamfield-Nanaimo

We would be delighted to pick you up in Bamfield at the end of your hike. From there it's a two hour pot-holed, dusty gravel road to Port Alberni the salmon capital of the world aka the gateway to the West Coast where, time permitting, we can stop for some sightseeing and a refreshment break.
